Summer Dance Program 2026
This program is an open level dance program for kids ages 4 to 12 years old. Each day is broken into classes, and children should bring a snack and water each day. In each class, students will receive individualized attention and feedback and may be called upon to demonstrate movement. participants will be expected to practice outside of our sessions to be prepared for the final presentation for parents, families and friends on the last day of the session at 3:30pm.
art breaks are a time for children to express themselves and make creative choices in other ways besides movement. At the end of the week, the project they work on daily is theirs to take home.
Session 1 : August 10-14, 2026
This session is comprised of hip hop, jazz, contemporary, Afrodance and Latin dance technique classes. Each day there will be Art Breaks and games both outdoors and inside. In each class, students will receive individualized attention and feedback and may be called upon to demonstrate movement.
Session 2 : August 17-21, 2026
This program is an open level worship and praise dance program that will include the use of flags and veils. There are Art Breaks and games that take place indoors and outside, as well as incorporation of prayer and worship time.

National Dance Day: September 19 and 20, 2026
An event that celebrates dance that is for everybody! Families are invited to outdoor locations and dance for free to kick of OTM’s season.
Latin Social: October 2026
The Latin Social is always a great time for adults to learn different styles of Latin dance, which usually takes place around Hispanic Heritage Month each year. This is a social setting that combines a learning segment and light refreshments. All funds from The Latin Social support the Summer Dance Program.
A Night of Afro: February 2027
What an amazing night of the celebrating Black culture! Adults come out to learn the trending and traditional Afrodance movements from various countries. This social environment gives everyone a chance to get to know someone new, learn dances you might not know or brush up on your skills. The night is complete with soul-food inspired refreshments. All funds from A Night of Afro support the Summer Dance Program
Summer Dance Program: August 2027
This is On the Move’s main event of the year! A two week stretch of dance classes, outdoor fun and community building for kids. At the end of each session, participants will perform in a showcase, putting all they have learned on display for family and friends.
